As I stated in the course description, this is a discussion based class. Every class for the most part we were assigned homework. However it wasn’t such a terrible thing. Our homework would consist of readings that we would have to be prepared to discuss next class. Most of the readings we were assigned to read, were interesting pieces mostly from philosophers. Over the course of the term we were required to write three papers, all that I felt were interesting topics.
I decided to choose my final essay as my work sample for this class. The reason for that is a feel it best summarizes my time spent with philosophy. The requirement for this paper was to write five pages on the five most significant things that we learning in class. Over the course of the term we discussed topics such as moral luck and responsibility, the problem of induction, and moral awareness on what you might be spending your money. Im my final essay I discussed all of these topics and more.
